A finish

So the circular shawl is now done yay.  Here are some pics I haven't pinned it out yet I just laid it out on my king sized bed so you can get some idea of it's size.
So now it's back to stitching so I can hopefully show some progress on them for WIPocalypse 2012

Not Stitching but still craft related

I decided to try something else that's new to me.  CIRCULAR SHAWLS.  I've been knitting since I was 4 years old, thanks Nanna Grace.  I recently have been looking at these beautiful shawls and thought to myself, go on give it a go you don't know if you can until you try.  So I bought 2 books on Amazon, Modern Lace Knitting books 1 & 2.  There are some beautiful patterns in these books.
So the next baby to arrive in the family will have a lovely shawl (I hope lol).
 T
This is the Daffodil pattern that I've chosen to try.

Can you tell what it is yet lol.  I've chosen a baby 4 ply wool and slightly larger needle gauge so it will be larger.  It's not too bad, knitting on the 4 needles to start with was a bit tricky, it felt like I had a hedgehog  on my lap haha.  Now it's on the circular needle it's really easy, and I think to myself, Why didn't I try this before?????
I'll kepp this updated with my progress as it grows.

WIPocalypse check in 1

I've had a glorious week with nothing to do but stitch and here are my pics for the 1st check in.
Picture of where I was

Picture as of now I got a lot of the blue framework done and am pleased with it

next is my progress on Evening in the Park 2nd time around.
First picture is where I left it last February

2nd picture is where I'm at now.  I got lots done on this as it stitches so quick

And finally I got part 5 done on Tree of Stitches
Stitched on 32 ct Navy evenweave using Gloriana Monet's Pond for the top stitches and Gloriana Cobblestone for the wood of the tree.

So that's my progress for the 1st check in, hope everyone else managed some progress on their WIPs

January Goals

Soooo Here is something new.
Thanks to my new years resolution to do something new at least once a month throughout 2012, I now have a blog to keep track of said resolution. (Mainly stitch related of course)
OK January Goals are

1.  Finish Stitching on top half of Evening in the Park and bead it
2.  Get kit for Deep blue Sea
3.  Possibly stitch top left corner of Venice

I may even get the laptop out and design something for a change.  I'm waiting for my birthday in February.  I'm getting the kit for Martina Rosenburgs Mystery 15 Deep Blue Sea.  Having just finished her mystery from last year, SWAN LAKE (see pic), I find that I don't want to start another large piece just yet.  Of course this may change when I put the scroll frame I was using away in the stashrobe, that's the danger time lol, seeing all my kits together one may just jump out at me hahaha as they do.

So for now I'm working on Evening in the Park again let's see how much I can get done here is a pic of where I stopped stitching on it last February, wow doesn't seem that long ago.  Well it's overdue for some attention.
